A MUDANÇA LINGUÍSTICA NA PERSPECTIVA DA TEORIA DA OTIMALIDADE
Resumo
O artigo revisita os principais trabalhos sobre o tratamento da variação e da mudança na perspectiva da Teoria da Otimalidade (TO), começando com as propostas seminais, que pouco alteraram o design da gramática, até chegar às abordagens mais recentes, que constituem extensões da TO. Nesse particular, são descritos, com mais vagar, o Modelo de Restrições Parcialmente Ordenadas (ANTTILA, 1997, 2002, 2007), o Mecanismo de Rearranjos na Hierarquia (HOLT, 2003), a TO Estocástica (BOERSMA & HAYES, 2001) e o Modelo de Ranqueamento Ordenado de EVAL (COETZEE, 2004).
